The location was great, very close to the beach and surrounded by beautiful jungle scenery. The staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any questions or requests. The hostel had a nice communal kitchen where you could prepare your own meals, which was convenient. The dorm room was clean and the lockers provided were a useful feature.

Finding the hostel was a bit challenging, especially with bigger suitcases. The street leading to the hostel was difficult to navigate and only accessible by a 4x4 vehicle.

The value for my money at this hostel was unbeatable. The room was cozy and comfortable, surrounded by nature. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the famous beach. The staff treated me like family, making me feel right at home.

The food for breakfast could use a little improvement, maybe some more variety or options.

We had an amazing time at Clandestino Maderas! the hostel is beautifully located in the peaceful woods behind a famous surf beach. the huts are open and traditional, with hammocks and couches in the common area for ultimate relaxation. the kitchen is well-equipped and the bathrooms are clean. We loved the short hike down to Playa Maderas, where we could rent surfboards and enjoy some delicious meals. the highlight was definitely having the beach to ourselves at night, with stunning sunsets and a breathtaking starry sky. the staff and atmosphere were warm and inviting. Highly recommended!

    Nothing negative to say. ⭐️.

I got incredible value for my money at this hostel. The room was comfortable and cozy, and the location was perfect, nestled among the trees with a beautiful view. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

The only thing that could have made the breakfast selection better was adding more variety to the menu.

Hostel Clandestino is a magical place in the middle of the jungle, perfect for chilling and surfing. The kitchen area is super chill and a great place to meet cool people. The owners, Stephan, Corina, and their kids, make you feel at home quickly. Finding a hammock to chill or do yoga with a beautiful view is easy.

Felt very lucky, no reason to complain.

The hostel is tucked away in a secluded and peaceful location, surrounded by nature. It offers a unique and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The staff and owners are friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The nearby beaches are stunning and easily accessible. The hike back to the hostel may be a bit challenging, but it's a great opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the surroundings.

Getting to the hostel can be a bit tricky, especially if you don't have a 4x4 vehicle. The steep dirt road leading up to the hostel can be difficult to navigate, making it inconvenient for guests with heavy luggage or mobility restrictions.

I got great value for my money at this amazing hostel. The rooms were comfortable and the location was perfect, nestled in the quiet woods near a famous surf beach. The staff treated me like family and made me feel at home.

The breakfast option could be improved with a wider variety of condiments available, like salt and oil. It would be more convenient if I didn't have to buy a whole bottle of oil for a short stay.

The best thing about this place was the stunning location. Surrounded by trees and with a view of the jungle, it really felt like being in the heart of nature. Another great aspect was the friendly and helpful staff. They were always there to assist with any needs or questions. Plus, the kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals.

One downside was the lack of convenience in terms of groceries. The nearest supermarket was quite a distance away, making it necessary to bring your own groceries.

During my Christmas stay, I absolutely loved the cozy and comfortable houses at this hostel. The attention to detail and the comforting atmosphere made me feel right at home. Additionally, the fully furnished kitchen was a great convenience, allowing me to prepare meals easily. The hostel's location near the beach with fantastic surfing waves was a key highlight. Lastly, the friendly and welcoming staff made my stay even more enjoyable.

I did not have a negative experience during my stay at this hostel. Everything exceeded my expectations and I cannot think of any negatives to mention.

Nestled in the lush jungle, this hidden gem is a haven for nature lovers. With the sounds of howler monkeys and the sights of rare insects, you'll feel truly immersed in the jungle. The open-air cabanas offer a unique and tranquil stay, with two levels and a mosquito net providing a comfortable sleep. The well-maintained bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen provide all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay.

The steep and difficult hike up to the hostel can be challenging for guests with heavy luggage or mobility restrictions.
