The location was great, very close to the beach and surrounded by beautiful jungle scenery. The staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any questions or requests. The hostel had a nice communal kitchen where you could prepare your own meals, which was convenient. The dorm room was clean and the lockers provided were a useful feature.
Finding the hostel was a bit challenging, especially with bigger suitcases. The street leading to the hostel was difficult to navigate and only accessible by a 4x4 vehicle.

The value for my money at this hostel was unbeatable. The room was cozy and comfortable, surrounded by nature. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the famous beach. The staff treated me like family, making me feel right at home.
The food for breakfast could use a little improvement, maybe some more variety or options.

We had an amazing time at Clandestino Maderas! the hostel is beautifully located in the peaceful woods behind a famous surf beach. the huts are open and traditional, with hammocks and couches in the common area for ultimate relaxation. the kitchen is well-equipped and the bathrooms are clean. We loved the short hike down to Playa Maderas, where we could rent surfboards and enjoy some delicious meals. the highlight was definitely having the beach to ourselves at night, with stunning sunsets and a breathtaking starry sky. the staff and atmosphere were warm and inviting. Highly recommended!
Nothing negative to say. ⭐️.

I got great value for my money at this amazing hostel. The rooms were comfortable and the location was perfect, nestled in the quiet woods near a famous surf beach. The staff treated me like family and made me feel at home.
The breakfast option could be improved with a wider variety of condiments available, like salt and oil. It would be more convenient if I didn't have to buy a whole bottle of oil for a short stay.

The best thing about this place was the stunning location. Surrounded by trees and with a view of the jungle, it really felt like being in the heart of nature. Another great aspect was the friendly and helpful staff. They were always there to assist with any needs or questions. Plus, the kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals.
One downside was the lack of convenience in terms of groceries. The nearest supermarket was quite a distance away, making it necessary to bring your own groceries.
